2001 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon – USA, Washington Spice and cigar leaf on the nose, with black fruit and chocolate, and some floral notes at the end. Rich and juicy on the palate, with tobacco and spice, black fruit on the mid-palate, and nice bittersweet chocolate finish. (94 Points)

2009 Agharta Wines Cataclysm – USA, California, North Coast Rich and floral on the nose, with beeswax and citrus, and some spice at the end. Rich and juicy on the palate, with spice and beeswax, some floral notes on the mid-palate, and a good citrus finish. (93 Points)

NV H. Billiot Fils Champagne Brut Rosé Grand Cru – France, Champagne, Ambonnay, Champagne Yeast and strawberry on the nose, with cherry and spice underneath. Lots of strawberry on the palate, with bread notes and cherry on the mid-palate and a good spice finish. (92 Points)

2009 Aratas Petite Sirah – USA, California, Napa Valley Black fruit and pepper on the nose, with mocha and tobacco in the middle, and some orange peel at the end. Rich with dark fruit on the palate, along with espresso and tobacco, and some pepper and orange on the finish. (92 Points)

2008 Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst – USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena Black currant and spice, with some earth and mocha. Rich and juicy on the palate, with black fruit and spice, some tobacco and chocolate, and a good earthy finish. (92 Points)

2005 Chanson Père et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Champimonts – France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru Cherry and forest floor on the nose, with with spice and dirt at the end. Juicy on the palate, with lots of cherry and earth, and good spicy finish. (91 Points)

2006 Switchback Ridge Merlot Peterson Family Vineyard – USA, California, Napa Valley Milk chocolate and raspberry on the nose, with cigar box and spice box aromas at the end. Rich and slightly sweet on the palate, with chocolate coveed berries, some tobacco, and a good spicy finish. (90 Points)

2005 Dirler-Cade Pinot Noir Cuvée Ludivine – France, Alsace, Alsace AOC Cherry and strawberry on the nose, with some forest floor and spice, and some cigar box at the end. Cherry and earth on the palate, with strawberry and spice on the mid-palate, and a good tobacco finish. (88 Points)

2009 Vignobles Mayard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Clos du Calvaire – France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Black fruit and spice on the nose, along with sweaty socks and floral notes. Black fruit and spice on the palate, with floral notes and sweaty socks. (87 Points)
