FLIGHT 1

2007 Smith Wooton Cabernet Franc Gallagher’s Vineyard – USA, California, Napa Valley Barnyard and cedar on the nose, supported by blackberry and raspberry jam, and a little spice. Earthy and fruity on the palate, with a nice spicy finish. (91 Points)

2007 Manzoni Estate Vineyard Syrah – USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands Loads of black pepper and grilled meat on the nose, along with dark black fruit. Much more fruit on the palate, but still has lots of pepper and BBQ. (91 Points)

2007 Fritz Winery Zinfandel Estate Grown – USA, California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley The nose is all fruit – blackberry, blueberry, and black currant. This is all covered by some nice chocolate aromas. Soft on the palate, with the same flavors as the nose. The only difference is the addition of licorice on the finish. (90 Points)

2010 Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc – USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley Floral notes and peach on the nose, with crushed rock and cantaloupe behind. Much fruity on the palate, making it feel slightly sweet. The minerals and floral notes are there, but only on the finish. (89 Points)

2008 Barnett Vineyards Chardonnay Savoy Vineyard – USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley Apple and butter on the nose, with floral notes and cake spice underneath. There also a nuttiness at the end. Less oaky on the palate, and much fruiter than the nose. The floral notes come on in the middle, and it finishes with a spicy nut flavor. (89 Points)
