2005 Didier Dagueneau Pouilly-Fumé Pur Sang – France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Pouilly-Fumé My WOTN. Stone and herb on the nose, with a nice citrus and floral backbone. A little more fruit on the palate – mainly grapefruit and lemon, but it still had the herb and mineral core. (95 Points)

2003 Domaine de Beaurenard (Paul Coulon et Fils) Châteauneuf-du-Pape Boisrenard – France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape A nice core of black fruit and bittersweet chocolate on the nose, with a good tar and earth background. 2007 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection – USA, California, Napa Valley A little too oak for my taste, but it’s hard to argue with the delicious factor of this wine. It’s all dark black fruit and creamy oak. The palate was the same. (90 Points)

2008 Saxum Heart Stone Vineyard – USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles It’s hard not to like this, but it really was one dimensional. Blueberry, raspberry, plum, and a little tar. The palate was exactly the same. (90 Points)
