2006 Marietta Cellars Angeli Cuvée – USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley The nose had chocolate and spice, blackberry and toasted oak, and some pepper at the end. The palate was rich and juicy, with blackberry and chocolate, spice and toast, and a great pepper finish. (92 Points)

2007 Spring Valley Vineyard Uriah – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley The nose had black currant and blackberry, spice and mocha, vanilla, and a little earth. The palate was rich and juicy, with blackberry and coffee, black currant and spice, and a big vanilla finish. (92 Points)

2008 Duckhorn Vineyards Zinfandel Decoy – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had raspberry jam and strawberry, cedar and earth, and some spice at the end. The palate was rich and thick, with raspberry and strawberry, earth and pepper, and a good spicy finish. (91 Points)

2006 Odfjell Cabernet Sauvignon Orzada – Chile, Central Valley, Rapel Valley, Colchagua Valley The nose had blueberry and leather, mocha and black currant, spice and squid ink. The palate was soft and juicy, with black currant and leather, espresso and blueberry, and a good spicy finish. (91 Points)

2009 Acústic Cellar Montsant Acústic Blanc – Spain, Catalunya, Tarragona, Montsant The nose had smoky peach and stone, citrus and creamy oak, and some spice and tropical fruit at the end. The palate was rich and creamy, with tropical fruit and stone, roasted peaches and spice, and a citrus and stone finish. (90 Points)

2006 Kilikanoon Shiraz Testamen – Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley The nose had blackberry and cake spice, blueberry and vanilla, mocha and earth. The palate was soft, with blueberry and spice, vanilla and espresso, earth, and good blackberry finish.

2005 Wolf Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had blackberry and fennel seed, cocoa powder and spice, and a good vanilla finish. The palate was lush and juicy, with blackberry and chocolate, spice and oak, and a good cassis finish. (92 Points)
