FLIGHT 1

2009 Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had limes and beeswax, orange peel and pineapple, and a little tropical fruit at the end. The palate had pineapple and honey, oranges and limes, and a nice mineral finish. (90 Points)

2005 Atalon Merlot – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had chocolate and pencil lead, clove and thyme, and some raspberry and plum at the end. The palate was smooth, with dark fruit and milk chocolate, graphite and herbs, and a little herbs on the finish. (88 Points)

2006 Saint-Laurent Merlot Estate Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Wahluke Slope The nose had licorice and mint, dark chocolate and cherry, and a little coffee at the end. The palate was soft, with dark chocolate, licorice, cherry, and a good mocha finish. (87 Points)

2006 Thomas Henry Wines Merlot – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had black currant and black cherry, chocolate and spice, and a tiny bit of earth at the end. The palate was rich, with lots of dark, black fruit, dark chocolate, earth, and a spicy finish. (87 Points)

2006 Flora Springs Merlot – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had woodsy herbs and raspberry, and a little mocha. The palate had plum and raspberry, some herbs, and a little vanilla on the finish. (86 Points)

2003 Vérité La Muse – USA, California, Sonoma County The nose had coffee bean and raspberry, chocolate, BBQ’d meat, and smoke. The palate was soft and had berries and chocolate, espresso and smoke, and some roasted meat on the finish. (90 Points)

2007 Wolf Family Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Tres Hermanos Vineyard – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had smoke and melon, honey and pineapple, and some tropical fruit at the end. The palate had honey and melon, smoke and tropical fruit, and some floral notes on the finish. (89 Points)
