2005 Edward Sellers Vineyards and Wines Cuvée des Cinq – USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles The nose had ripe strawberry and cherry, a little earth, and some toasted herbs at the end. The palate ripe, red fruit, earth, a little pepper, and a good herb finish. (90 Points)

2005 Atalon Cabernet Sauvignon – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had black currant and leather, licorice and cherry, and a little vanilla at the end. The palate had black currant and licorice, cherry and toasted oak, and a good earthy finish. (90 Points)

2008 Melville Pinot Noir Estate – USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Rita Hills – Sta. Rita Hills The nose had cherry and black tea, floral notes and vanilla, and a little cake spice. The palate was rich and spicy, with cherry and blackberry, tea and floral notes, and a very vanilla finish. It was a little hot for my palate. (89 Points)

2007 Ridge Lytton Springs – USA, California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley The nose had spice and black currant, a little tar, and some earth and smoke. The palate was rich and thick, with black currant and cherry, earth and spice, and a very good tar finish. (89 Points)

2008 Honig Sauvignon Blanc – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had melon and fig, a little stone, and some honey notes. The palate was viscous, with lots of melon and citrus, a little wax, and a good stone finish. (87 Points)

2007 Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay – USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley The nose had apricot and butter, peach and nuts, and a touch of tropical fruit at the end. The palate was rich and buttery, with tropical fruit and apricot, a little honey, and a slightly nutty finish. (86 Points)
