2006 Alvero Espinoza Malbec Cruz Andina 91 – Argentina, Mendoza, Lujan de Cuyo The nose had plum and espresso, blueberry and a little shaved cocoa. The palate had good grip, with blueberry and plum, chocolate, and a good fig finish. (Points)

2007 J.M. Boillot Rully 1er Cru Gresigny – France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Rully 1er Cru The nose had fig paste and apple, citrus, and a little stone. The palate had citrus and apple, minerals, and a nice fig finish. (90 Points)

2004 Whitman Cellars Narcissa Red – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley The nose had chocolate and blackberry, tobacco and cherry, and a little bit of pepper. The palate was soft and slightly sweet, with blackberry and tobacco, pepper and mocha, and a good cherry finish. (89 Points)

2008 Orin Swift The Prisoner – USA, California, Napa Valley The nose had spice and earth, blueberry and raspberry, and some fresh herbs at the end. The palate was slightly sweet, with blueberry and spice, raspberry and earth, and a pepper finish. (89 Points)

2005 Pelton House Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley – USA, California, Sonoma County, Knights Valley The nose had red currant and spice, cocoa, and a little earth. The palate was smooth, with currant and earth, spice, and espresso finish. (89 Points)
